Opening salvo
There are millions of blogs now out there in the Internet field. Many have been picked up by the blogeratti and given celebrity status. Some have been mentioned in such August publications as the New Yorker, which I really do read just for the cartoons. Some have also been mentioned by an equally August personage as Leo Laporte in his blog. The rest, like this one, are just out there peacefully grazing, filling the void that is cyberspace. Initially this was intended as a soapbox for local political news and comment. It may still become that. I have just become overwhelmed by the other political commentators who have chosen this method of communication. Stay tuned.
